"We have to get that present back before Angelica opens it! Don't let anyone see you!"
Background
In order to prevent a good deal of embarrassment, Dinodas has enlisted your help conducting a caper by which he hopes to recover the housewarming present before his sister Angelica opens it.
Objective 1
- Find the wrapped present in the west storage room
Dinodas believes the present is currently being kept in the back room at the end of the entrance hall.
- Prisca Boffin says, "Listen, Angelica, I will bring some food from the kitchen to cheer you up."
- Someone's coming! You'd better hide behind the table!
Objective 2
- Hide behind the table before you are seen!
Someone is drawing near to your room. You'd better hide behind the table!
Objective 3
- Faint or lie down to hide from view
Someone is drawing near to your room. You'd better hide behind the table!
- Prisca Boffin says, "It will be no trouble at all."
- Bingo Boffin says, "Don't trouble yourself, Prisca."
- Bingo Boffin says, "Why not save the food for the party?"
- Angelica Boffin says, "But how can there be a party?"
- Prisca Boffin says, "Oh, poor darling..."
Objective 4
- Wait for Prisca to return to the sitting room
You must wait until it is safe to move without being observed.
- Now is your chance!
Objective 5
- Find the wrapped present in the west storage room
Dinodas believes the present is currently being kept in the back room at the end of the entrance hall.
- Got it!
Objective 6
- Escape from 8 Honeymead Lane
With the present safely in your possession, you must now escape from 8 Honeymead Lane.
- Angelica Boffin says, "I am going to talk to <name>!"
Objective 7
- Stash the present somewhere... and fast!
You have to stash the present somewhere before you are found with it!
- Just in time!
Objective 8
- Hear what Angelica has to say
Angelica is looking for you.
- Angelica Boffin says, "There you are."
Objective 9
Angelica wants to talk to you.
- Angelica Boffin: 'Come with me to the sitting room, <name>. I want to talk to you.'
- Angelica Boffin says, "I have been thinking."
- Angelica Boffin says, "What if we have the party anyway... right this very minute?"
- Angelica Boffin says, "What do you think, Mother?"
Objective 10
Prisca wants to talk to you.
- Prisca Boffin: 'Oh, I don't know. It seems like such a shame to celebrate without Angelica's brothers and sisters all here! What do you think, <name>?'
- You tell Prisca that a true housewarming party should have as many people on hand as possible, and the real shame would be to begin the party without all of Angelica's siblings present for the celebration. She considers your argument.
- 'Perhaps, perhaps...'
Objective 11
Angelica has more to say to you.
- Prisca Boffin says, "But if my daughter wants her party now, she shall have it!"
- Angelica Boffin: 'I hear you, <name>, I really do. But you don't understand HOW OFTEN this happens! My brothers and sisters are always running off at the most inopportune times.'
Objective 12
- Listen to Angelica and keep her from discovering any mischief!
Angelica has more to say to you.
- Angelica Boffin says, "Griffo is always looking for food to eat."
- Angelica Boffin says, "Marigold is always on the hunt for adventure."
- Angelica Boffin says, "If Esmeralda isn't dancing, she's searching for an excuse to start!"
- Angelica Boffin says, "I haven't seen Berilac in Yondershire yet, but he is probably snoozing in the sun somewhere!"
- Angelica Boffin says, "Do not get me started on Fosco's love of boating!"
- Angelica Boffin says, "And Dinodas! He's always causing trouble!"
- Angelica Boffin says, "My siblings are always off doing something, no matter what!"
- Angelica Boffin says, "I would be too, I suppose. I do love to take care of animals."
- Angelica Boffin says, "Now that I've had my say, perhaps I am not so different from them after all, <name>."
- Angelica Boffin says, "Maybe it is a Boffin trait!"
- Sudden noise is heard
- Angelica Boffin says, "What was that?"
Objective 13
- Cheer in order to keep Angelica from finding Dinodas
Quick! You must think of something to mask Dinodas's sounds of celebration!
- Dinodas needs to keep quiet!
- You cheer.
Objective 14
Dinodas has made it out of 8 Honeymead Lane with the wrapped present!
- Angelica Boffin: 'I just needed to talk it out, I think. I will wait until my brothers and sisters have all returned.
- 'And then we will have my party.'
- One caper, well-executed... more or less.
- Angelica Boffin says, "Thank you for helping me work this out, <name>."
- Angelica Boffin says, "I just had to realize that this would not be a real party without my brothers and sisters."
- Angelica Boffin says, "I do love them... warts and all!"
- Angelica Boffin: 'I will wait for my party... but it had better be a good one!'
