Bestowal Dialogue 'It's good to see a fellow traveller. I came here from Mossward, to the west of here. A travelling trader told me that this is where I should come to get the finest daffodil bulbs in Eriador. They are indeed quite beautiful, but these Stoors say they aren't for sale! 'Gardening is only a hobby for me, but I don't want to have come here for nothing. Welduth Lhush over there is said to have the finest daffodils, but I think I may have already earned her ire. Would you mind talking to her, and asking if she would sell or trade for some of her prized bulbs?' NOTE: This quest will be removed from your quest log when the current festival ends. Background Naffa Blodven has come to Daffodil Days from Mossward to purchase the best daffodil bulbs in Eriador, but the Stoors of Clegur say they aren't for sale. Objective 1 Talk to Welduth Lhush Naffa has asked you to talk to Welduth Lhush, a Stoor reputed to have the best daffodils and the festival, and ask her if you can trade for some bulbs. Welduth Lhush: 'Ach, another stranger tryin' to get their grubby hands on my bulbs? As I told the other one, I'm not in the business of sellin'.' You ask her if there is anything she would trade. She sighs and thinks about it for a moment before answering. 'Well, to tell ya truly, yes. I've always envied Gloron's carrots. Proper carrots, they are! Large, but not woody, and they roast so sweet...' She gazes off into the distance for a moment, thinking about carrots. 'Yes, if ye can get Gloron's secret to growin' such fine carrots, I'll give ye some of my daffodil bulbs. But good luck to ye! He holds his secrets close, he does. Ye'll likely have better luck pryin' a coney out of a wolf's jaws.' Objective 2 Talk to Gloron Magimrud Welduth agreed to trade some daffodil bulbs in exchange for Gloron Magimrud's secret to growing carrots. You should talk to Gloron Magimrud in the farming fields of Clegur. Gloron Magimrud: 'Welduth covets my carrot secrets, does she?' Gloron laughs. 'Why, she's never bothered to ask! If she did, she would find that I would tell her freely, I would. But since ye're doin' tradin', I'll make ye' a trade as well. 'I seen those tidy daffodil banners stuck about the village, and I find myself wonderin' why I didn't get one. It's not really fair, is it? I'm only sayin'. 'If ye get me one of those banners and stick it in over by the barn, I'll give ye the 'secret'.' Objective 3 Talk to Malmadog Torlan Gloron has told you that he will give you the secret to his high-quality carrots if you get a daffodil banner and place it by the barn. You should talk to Clegur's mayor, Malmadog Torlan, to see if you can get another banner. Malmadog Torlan: 'Another banner? Ach, here, take it. I never wanted the things in the first place.' Objective 4 Place the banner in front of the barn  Daffodil Days Banner Mayor Malmadog has given you a daffodil banner. You should place it in the ground in front of the large barn by Clegur's farming fields. Objective 5 Talk to Gloron Magimrud You have placed a daffodil banner in front of the barn, as Gloron Magimrud asked. You should talk to Gloron, still in the fields. Gloron Magimrud: 'There's lovely! That's a good banner, it is! 'Well, ye kept up yer end of the bargain, so here's my 'secret'. Everyone knows ye must have loose soil for 'em to get big, but most folks give 'em too much fertilizer. If ye fertilize 'em, yer carrot gets big and leafy up top, but the root stays small. Don't fertilize 'em at all, I say. 'I don't know about flowers, but most vegetables need to struggle a bit. It's the struggle that gives 'em proper character. A lot like people, eh?' Objective 6 Talk to Welduth Lhush Gloron Magimrud has shared his secret to growing good carrots with you. You should return to Welduth Lhush in front of her home in Clegur and tell her. Welduth Lhush: 'The secret is to not fertilize them? Are ye pullin' my leg? That Gloron is a shrewd one, he is. Probably havin' a laugh, takin' me for a fool. 'Still, I believe ye that that's what he said, so ye did yer part. Ye can have the pot of bulbs to my left. Take it, and be gone with ye.' Objective 7 Collect the prized daffodil bulbs Welduth Lhush has relented and said you can take the pot of her prized daffodil bulbs to her left. You should collect the bulbs so you can give them to Naffa Blodven. Prized daffodil bulbs collected! Objective 8 Give the bulbs to Naffa Blodven  Prized Daffodil Bulbs You have gotten some daffodil bulbs from Welduth Lhush. You should bring them to Naffa Blodven near Clegur's stable-master. Naffa Blodven: 'Bless me, you got them! I'm as surprised as I am grateful! It's nothing personal, but I didn't expect you to succeed. Thank you!'
