Walkthrough & Notes

This quest is only offered when your side controls the keep and the relevant gate is damaged or destroyed. Build versions appear if the gate is missing entirely after a siege. Reinforce versions appear if the gate exists but is not at full health. If the gate is fully built and undamaged, the quest will not be available until attackers breach it again. Siege System: These conditions are part of the Ettenmoors siege mechanics introduced in Update 45: Allies and Adversaries, where keeps now have upgradeable and destructible defences. Gate repairs or construction must be triggered by player actions after a successful capture or defence, which is why these quests appear only at specific times during the ongoing battle for control.

Background You are ordered to acquire materials needed to build a gate that will defend the exterior of Tiriíth[sic] Rhaw. Objective 1 Collect Grimwood kindling Collect unrefined Isendeep ore (0/2) Collect Grimwood roots (0/2) Deliver the materials to Gaath at Tiríth Rhaw Make your way into the wilds of the Ettenmoors and collect the materials needed to construct the external gate. Soldier Gaath: 'Well, well, seems we do have some maggots what is good at taking orders. You shall avoid the lash for this effort. But, don't think that this makes you anything more than a maggot, maggot."
