Walkthrough & Notes

This quest is part of the Well Prepared quest-chain but can be done at any time. In spite of its level you can do this without any combat whatsoever. This is not a timed quest as one would imagine, and you can do other quests. Travel eastward to the Last Bridge and go down to river Hoarwell at the north side of the bridge, where the shore is shallow. You have a bladder in the inventory, use it. Then back. The Empty Water-bladder icon in your inventory and in the quest tracker will lose its red border when and where it can be used. You must dismount to fill the bladder.

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'Before you leave, <name>, I would ask one other small task, left over from the last folk who stopped to aid us here. 'We have some bladders already cleaned and ready for water. I ask that you make your way along the Great East Road to the Last Bridge and fill this bladder with water from Mitheithel, the Hoarwell. 'The Bridge has stood through many ages, and we have found that the water taken from the northern end of the bridge is best. Draw the water, then return to me.' Background Within the ruins of Dol Vaeg, Northrim collects the last few items needed for Stanric's defence. Soon the Eglain hope to be prepared for the worst, a prolonged battle against the encroaching darkness. Objective 1 Fill the water-bladder at the Last Bridge The Last Bridge at the eastern end of the Great East Road. Northrim gave you an empty, cured bladder and asked you to collect water from the northern side of the Last Bridge. Northrim: 'Fill the bladder at the water's edge on the north side of the Last Bridge, then return here.' The water here looks fresh and clean Filled the water-bladder Objective 2 Bring the full water-bladder to Northrim Northrim awaits your return with clean water at Dol Vaeg, west of the Last Bridge. You made your way to the Hoarwell's edge and collected water from the banks. You should return at once to Northrim. Northrim: 'We have water now to fill our barrels. I am grateful for all that you have done for my people. Here, <name>, take this and know the gratitude of all the Eglain of Ost Guruth.'
