Walkthrough & Notes

Some players have experienced a block in completion of "A Black Wind from the East," the parent quest "Trouble Enough," as well as all other quests following in this quest line if the player visits the Brigand Cave of Helstor and kills Hafoc. A quest starter item called a Turncoat's Note will be found on Hafoc when looted. If you turn in the note to Ceola before completing "Trouble Enough" (including "A Black Wind from the East") Dagbert will be found as a traitor and he will disappear from the camp. If this occurs you will not be able to complete "A Black Wind from the East" as well as the parent quest "Trouble Enough," nor will you be able to complete that specific quest line.

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'Hail, <class>, I hear that Céola has recruited you for service. I think one of your talents is just what we need. 'Céola, he does not believe that we should engage these Khundolar dogs directly -- at least, not until we deal with the other threats in these lands -- but I say that we should take action against them now, lest their numbers grow stronger. 'To prove my point to Céola, would you go out and defeat a few of these Easterlings? They have a large war-camp to the south, but their scouts range the Brown Lands openly.' Background Dagbert wants to deal directly with the Khundolar and drive them forth from the Brown Lands. Objective 1 Defeat Khundolar in the Brown Lands (0/6) Khundolar Easterlings can be found throughout the Brown Lands, but especially at their encampment, Lashkarg, to the south of Etheburg in the Brown Lands. Dagbert has asked you to defeat a few Khundolar Easterlings to prove to Céola that they can and must be dealt with immediately. Dagbert: 'Have you dealt with the Easterlings?' Objective 2 Talk to Dagbert at Etheburg in the Brown Lands Dagbert is at Etheburg in the Brown Lands, north of Lashkarg. You should return to Dagbert with news of your success. Dagbert: 'Good on you, <class>! Surely now, Céola will see reason.'
