Item Talk:Faded Sindarin Passage

I have seen various scholar items drop off of defeated foes. They are not just found in resource spots that only a scholar can access. I have seen faded sindarin passages as a drop as well. I just don't remember where. My scholar is only a level 16 lore master and would not survive the areas where antique vases are and my warden can walk these areas freely. I need to know which foes drop faded sindarin passages and torn craftsman pages to make the crafting lore items for my level 27 character. If you know which foes drop these two items please respond here and/or post it on the actual item pages. Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by INFINITE-WIZARD (Contribs • User Talk) at 17:29, 13 February 2012.

Scholar items have a chance to drop from all humanoid creatures (brigands, goblins, orcs, trolls etc). Different level ranges of creatures drop specific tiers. A quick lotro-wiki search indicates that Faded Sindarin Passages at least drop from humanoid creatures between the levels 25-30. This range could be larger, since the wiki does not have all drops complete. Rock-troll Brawler, Angered Tarkrîp and Balt-olog Heaver are examples of creatures that drop this item, but there are loads more. Hope this cleared things up a bit. --Ravanel (talk) 05:45, 14 February 2012 (EST)
When you visit any page, including the Faded Sindarin Passage page, you can use the "What links here" tool (expand the "Toolbox" in the sidebar) to see this page: Pages that link to "Item:Faded Sindarin Passage". There you may see more links that have not been back referenced from the item page. The drop links may not be shown for most mobs because (as Ravanel says) expert scholar items (like the Faded Sindarin Passage) are random drops from all humanoid creatures in the range of levels from about 25 to 34. Hi, I've created a small Template:Item-drop, that could be used for scholar ingredients & recipe scroll cases; Template:Recipe-drop has been also modified to specify that the recipe might be revealed from a scroll case now. --Goingbald (talk) 00:25, 16 February 2012 (EST)
