Herald
The Herald is a Captain's pet. There are 3 different typs of Heralds. The Herald's Armour and appearance can be upgraded through the wearing of armaments. These are either made by Tailors and can be equipped in your class slot or bartered at the captains trainer as skills which only change the appearance.

Depending on which Herald summoned, a different buff is applied to all fellows within 20m:

When the 
Elite Companions trait from the Lead the Charge line is equiped, the summoned Herald has a 20% chance to apply the Armour Rend debuff which reduces enemy armor with his attacks.
Traits
The 
Heightened Allies trait from the Lead the Charge line increases the damage done by the summoned Herald by up to 40%.
The Elite Companions trait from the Lead the Charge line gives the summoned Herald a 20% chance to reduce enemy armor with his attacks.
