Icons for Items on Lotro-Wiki are named according to their in-game ID. This ID can be obtained by plugins that use the game's LUA API, or by external programs like Lotro Companion.
Icon Usage
At Lotro-Wiki we try to use generic icons as much as possible, rather than one icon per item.
- Icons are grouped by design (the Style on each row) and quality (the columns). There may be different variants depending upon shadow and blue highlight. These are still grouped by the same basic style.
- When creating a new item, try to use an existing icon from the Generic Icons table if you can find a match.
- If there is no match, upload the new icon or use the {{IN}} tag so other editors are informed of the missing icon.
Note: As these icon names do not end in '-icon', that suffix is not needed when including them on other pages.
