On the banks of river [[Lhûn]] and just at the feet of the Ered Luin {{Lang|Sindarin|Blue Mountains}} [[Thorin Oakenshield]] founded this great port to handle goods coming and going. 

However, [[Dourhand Dwarves]] have now taken control of the port-city which they use for their foul business with the forces of [[Angmar]] to the north as they desperately cling to their last major settlement in the region.
