'''Eärendur''' {{Lang|Quenya|Servant of the Sea}} was the only son of [[Elendur]]. He ruled as the tenth [[Arnor|King of Arnor]] for 84 years, a period of no significant events. He lived to age 221.

In spite the meaning of his name, nothing indicates that Eärendur was a great seafarer but it was the name of two ancestors before him of the realm of [[Númenor]].

Eärendur fathered [[Amlaith]], [[Eldamacil]], and [[Tarondor II]]. Amlaith was destined to succeed Eärendur as the eleventh king but could not overcome the rivalry and disputes with his brothers. As a result Arnor was split and three new kingdoms were founded: [[Arthedain]], [[Cardolan]], and [[Rhudaur]]. Thus Eärendur became the last High King of Arnor.
