- Upon investigating the edit history of this page, it seems it originally linked to an official LOTRO page that may have contained information about the naming choice of festivals. The link is dead and has been removed, however. Since this article isn't linked to from anywhere else on LOTRO-wiki and doesn't make any sense, I vote to delete it.--Ravanel (talk) 16:37, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
- Upon further investigation, I may have spoken too soon. There seem to be more pages like this one, found in Category:News. They all contain promotional messages, originally copied from the official LOTRO website. Since the messages cannot be found anywhere else anymore since the original LOTRO website pages have been removed, one could argue they're useful for archival goals. Perhaps we could update the disclaimer to reflect this in a more precise manner. The first two sentences are confusing ("This site, "Lotro-Wiki.com," is for players by players, dedicated to LOTRO! This site is neither endorsed by, nor associated with, Standing Stone Games."); they could better be moved to the end of the message in my opinion, so the information that people are looking for is at the front. --Ravanel (talk) 16:44, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
- I've added the original text of the linked article -- which was simply a home page promo for the Summer Festival. The actual content does not match the blurb about it -- there was no guide of any sort.
- Other than the fact that it probably represented the first Summer Festival, it doesn't say much.
- I don't know if the original author of the page had their tongue firmly planted in the cheek but it doesn't describe what the article actually contains.
