The Mural of Annatar

This curious mural appears during the epic quest for Book 14, Chapter 5.

In it, an imposing figure stands over a group of elves, who hold aloft several golden rings. Anyone with a little knowledge of the lore is sure to realize that this is none other than Sauron in his fair form as Annatar.

(This image depicts a mural of the Dark Lord Sauron, when he appeared to the elves as Annatar, the Lord of Gifts.)

Annatar, The Lord of Gifts

The tengwar are written in standard Sindarin mode, and spell, from left to right:

mírodhron = mîr + odhron = jewel + (male) parent

elvellon = el + mellon (lenited) = elf + friend

korfheron = (typoed) corf + heron = ring + master

So they're all just alternate titles for Sauron in his mien of Antheron (Gift Master).
