Walkthrough & Notes

This quest counts for the Aiding the Entwash Vale deed. Completing Aiding the Eastemnet will cancel this quest This is an instanced public questing area. Mounted combat is possible as is simply mounting to move about but not is required for the kills. The required mobs, including some elite ones, can be found all along the road. It's possible to avoid the elite ones if desired as they all respawn quickly. Defeat 6 mobs to complete this quest. To leave the instance either return to and interact with, the Return to Eaworth horse at the instance spawn-in location. Or use the 'Leave Instance' feature (right click the character portrait).

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'If we have any hope of reclaiming Thornhope for the people of Rohan, the road to the north must be kept clear and open. If we cannot travel along those paths, then there is no chance Thornhope will be ours ever again. 'The road is currently being patrolled by groups of mounted uruks. Roving bands move through the hills to the east and west of the road itself. While the enemy holds this ground, Thornhope will never return to our control. 'Speak with me when you are ready to ride north.' Background Mounted uruks are marauding across the north of the Entwash Vale, closing off the road to Thornhope and threatening any effort to reclaim the town. Objective 1 Defeat mounted uruks on the road to Thornhope (0/6) Mounted uruks can be found on the Road to Thornhope. Holenmal has asked that you clear mounted uruks from the Road to Thornhope. Holenmal: 'Let me know when you are ready to depart for the road to Thornhope.' Enter the Public Instance: The Road to Thornhope Objective 2 Talk to Holenmal at Eaworth Holenmal is at Eaworth. Holenmal is waiting to speak with you about your victories along the road to Thornhope.
