Walkthrough & Notes

You must first defeat two Ghâsh-hai Warriors, then two Ghâsh-hai Skirmishers, then a Warrior and a Ghâsh-hai Berserker. If you are having trouble with these as soon as you begin the instance, you can keep them from aggroing directly on you by backing to the end of the hall away from the stairs. That way you can recover from one group before taking on the next. For Minstrels, Song of Distraction will split the Orc pairs. You can also use it to pass by the set of 3 Orcs at the top of the stairs before you return to Akhrûn's cell. Also, for those 3 Orcs, if you run past them (and aggro them), you can get down to Akhrûn and release her. Quickly click "Continue" when the ring appears above her head and she will help with these mobs. She's just about indestructible as a tank. Thraknûl knocks you out and captures you, this cannot be prevented. You will be  Shackled when you wake up and cannot do anything but wait for events to transpire. The loose brick is in the south-eastern corner of your cell (in the back, on the right when facing inwards). Approaching it will trigger the message You notice a loose brick and allow the brick to be interacted with. Once you have searched the brick, interact with the lock to the left of the cell door. It can be selected from the gap between the door and the wall, or by using a key bound to "Select Next Item". When you escape your cell, go to the large chamber to the left, and take the western passage out (facing the same direction as your cell). At the end of this passage, the only way to go is south (left). Akhrûn is on the first cell on the left at the bottom of the stairs, where she was at the beginning of the instance. Bestowal Dialogue Escape From Naerband "Thraknûl, the chief torturer of Naerband, has locked his prison fortress down and looks to capture anyone disobeying his twisted laws." Background Thraknûl and Urudanî have returned to Naerband, and there is little hope that you will be able to escape the prison fortress alive. Objective 1 Defend yourself! Enemies guard the stairs ahead. You must approach them and prepare to defend yourself! Objective 2 Confront Thraknûl Confront Thraknûl. Thraknûl says, "How dare you interfere, in my domain!" Thraknûl says, "Oh what I have in store for you!" Akhrûn says, "<name>!" Objective 3 Let events transpire Let events transpire. Thraknûl says, "Now that you are awake, you poor excuse for a <class>, I can begin." Thraknûl says, "Where is the enjoyment of torturing, when the victim can not witness the pain?!" Thraknûl says, "I shall devise torment in you, unequalled in any of the Ages of the world!" Thraknûl says, "Now, Where to begin?!" Thraknûl says, "Who there disturbs my session?" Thraknûl says, "Ah, Urudanî, You are truly Lord Sauron's gift to Naerband." Thraknûl says, "You embody his masterwork of death and ruin." Thraknûl says, "What may I do for you on this day?" Thraknûl says, "Yes, I was just torturing this filth who entered Naerband, unbeknownst to me." Thraknûl says, "A trifling matter." Thraknûl says, "I, I suppose there are more important tasks." Thraknûl says, "I know you seek more flame wraiths, Urudanî, my gift of flame and fire." Thraknûl says, "Yes, I will put this <race> in a cell and deal with the filth later." Behind the loose brick you find an old scrap of metal Objective 6 Escape the cell Escape the cell using the what information you remember from Akhrûn's own daring escape. LOCK "A standard lock." That almost worked! One more try should do it! Objective 7 Escape the cell Escape the cell using the what information you remember from Akhrûn's own daring escape. You hear the lock unlatch! Objective 8 Free Akhrûn Akhrûn can be found in her cell, in the south-western end of Naerband. You should free Akhrûn. Objective 9 Talk to Akhrûn Talk to Akhrûn. Akhrûn: 'Thank you, <name>! Quickly, we must escape. There is not much time. Follow me!' Objective 10 Follow Akhrûn and escape Naerband Follow Akhrûn and escape Naerband. Akhrûn says, "This way!" Akhrûn says, "We can escape through this cave." Objective 11 Talk to Akhrûn Talk to Akhrûn. Akhrûn: 'This passage leads through an old culvert. No one seems to know it exists!'
