Walkthrough & Notes

The character starts in Bakhjâd [1.0S, 128.4W]), and the Delving Stone is there, but the quest objectives are on the island south of there (Injakhûr), to the southeast. There are stealthed Corsair Cutthroats along the way to the treasure. Ascend the path through the Corsair camp to get to the Huge Treasure Cache, at [1.7S, 128.0W]. Three Cursed Spirits (Shades) will spawn when approaching it, so it's probably best to pull Corsairs near the cache from range, so as to avoid having to fight both the shades and the Corsairs at the same time. Technically, the shades don't need to be defeated in order to advance the quest, so if they can be Crowd-controlled, the entire mission could be completed without defeating them. E.g. Minstrel Improved Song of Distraction can be used to open the chest and pull Shêndi Grey-eye away, without aggro'ing any of the shades. Shêndi Grey-eye only appears AFTER Objective 1 is completed, so you could open the Treasure Cache first, and kill the last Corsair afterwards to let her appear without aggro'ing her instantly.

Bestowal Dialogue 'Your objective is clear, <name>, recover that treasure cache at all cost. Don't let anyone or anything get in the way of that.' Background There are reports of a great treasure buried on a seldom-traversed island. You've been tasked with retrieving the treasure to help the restoration of Umbar. You have been tasked with obtaining a great treasure cache in Bakhjâd in the Shield Isles before anyone else. Objective 1 Find and collect the treasure cache Defeat Corsairs (0/12) Corsairs have beaten you to the treasure! Defeat the Corsairs and claim the treasure cache for the free peoples of Umbar. (When approaching the treasure cache) As you touch the coin, cursed spirits leap out from the chest! (When opening the chest) Captain Shêndi Grey-eye has arrived to claim the treasure cache as her own! Objective 2 Defeat Captain Shêndi Grey-eye Find and defeat Captain Shêndi Grey-eye (Once defeated) An Umbari scout has arrived to escort you back to The Bloody Eagle Tavern Defeated Captain Shêndi Grey-eye Objective 3 Completed You have successfully defeated the Corsairs and the Dead and recovered the cache! Return to the mission giver with this report. Umbari Scout : 'You found it! So much gold! I'm sure the, uh, proper amount will see its way to Umbar coffers. Let's get you back to Umbar Baharbêl!
