Description
Bruni was the companion of King Durin V of the Longbeards in the early Third Age, and the ancestor of Sigrun. Bruni joined King Durin's group to retake Helegrod from the dragon Thorog, though by the end, Bruni was the only member of the group to survive with grievous wounds to prove it. However, that he did not die a warrior's death was considered shameful by his fellow dwarves, and thus he earned the name "Yellowbeard". It is Sigrun, Bruni's descendant, who seeks to right this wrong and finally slay Thorog once and for all.
Bruni is mentioned in various quests concerning Helegrod, and he makes a physical appearance in a flashback.
