Flinq’s Journal

I am Flinq of the Fallohides. I grew up in the Shire and thought never to leave it until I needed to get a message to Archet; my life changed for ever then.

Bree-land

Archet

After the ranger Amdir and the Elf Gildor saved me from a black rider on the way out of the shire, I arrived at Archet Amdir's company; however, later that night he was wounded by another black rider. I helped the people of Archet prepare for a brigand attack and then to try and defend the town. Unfortunately Amdir was taken away when the attack was finally broken off.

Level 6

The Shire

I came back to the shire with two other hobbits caught up in the attack.

Michel Delving

I have started helping the people around Michel Delving and Hobbiton. I also spent some time learning the art of woodworking.

Apprentice Woodworker: Proficiency
Level 10
After helping Mondo Sackville-Baggins away from Archet, I am now caught up in their argument with the mayor. To try and placate Lobella S-B, I will investigate reports of goblins around Scary.

I have explored most of the western shire. In the north I have discovered dwarves, spiders, and other nasties.

Level 12
Apprentice Woodworker: Master

Stock

I have found many people in the southeast of the Shire who needed my help. There are certainly a lot of strange things coming here.

Level 15
Journeyman Farmer: Master
Journeyman Forester: Master

Brockenborings

Finally I have started helping people around Scary and Brockenborings.

I chased down the goblin rumors and found enough evidence to take to Bounder Primstone, who sent me on to the ranger Halros. After investigating one of the goblin camps, I was sent to the Quarry to recover the skull of a once powerful goblin chief; meanwhile, Bounder Primstone has gone into the goblin camp and we had to save him. (Halros discovered that the goblins are being influenced by Men of Angmar.)
Level 17
Journeyman Woodworker Proficiency

Bree-land

Bree

The Bounders sent me on to Bree to see if there was anything I could do for the Mayor there. I found a number of people with odd jobs for me to do, both in Bree and in Staddle.

There seems to be a great number of bandits plaguing the area. Working with the ranger Saeradan, I investigated a band lead by Sharkley and discovered that they are cooperating with the orcs from the north. He sent me to battle Orcs in the north and bandits in the south.

Level 18

I finally ventured into the Old Forest and the Barrow Downs--scary places those. I have left a few things undone in both places.

Level 20

Lone-lands

The Forsaken Inn

Several jobs in Bree pointed me to the Forsaken Inn in the Lone-lands. When I got there, I found several people with jobs for me to do. This included hunting in the wilds and fighting the goblins and orcs that beset the area.

Level 21
Journeyman Woodworker: Master

Weathertop

I ran into Candaith, a ranger camped near Weathertop. He had a number of tasks for me to do to aid his investigation of the current orc threat.

I will return to him when I am stronger.

North Downs

Trestlebridge

The Mayor of Bree sent me to Trestlebridge to help the people there. Several people had things for me to do to help them recover from the orc attacks and to prepare for more.

In addition, I found the ranger Amarion in the ruins of Amon Aaith. He needed my help protecting refugees from the goblin incursions. After help him, he had them ask me to do things as well.

Level 23
Expert Woodworker: Master
Expert Forester: Master

Kingsfell

I moved on to the Kingsfell area and began working for the local farmers and the rangers of Esteldin.

Level 25

Lone Lands

I was sent from Trestlebridge to help the people of Ost Guruth.

Weathertop

On the way to Ost Guruth, I stopped back to see if I could help Candaith.

Ost Guruth

Once there, I started working for the people of the settlement.
