New Area Page

Hi Varghedin, is this something that will come in-game? Interesting if so. And because of the images, that look official enough, it certainly looks it would come. Otherwise I think we should do as the "inaccessible location" pages that exist for stuff west of e.g. the Shire, not using any template but document them with "lore". — Zimoon 16:01, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

The text and screenshots are from Raninia's Producer's Letter (as linked on the page), so I think it's "official", although not on the most recent Bullroarer preview. I do think, however, that this should probably be tagged as {{Beta}}, even though it's not on BR yet, because it presumably will be on BR, and this is a better way to tag pre-released content than, say {{Stub}}, which -- as I understand it -- is for content which is released, but hasn't been fully populated on wiki yet. Name with The

I hate to see that SSG has set the name to The Angle of Mitheithel, and the also added its own map. So, according to naming rules this area should be renamed. Personally, I disagree having any page names beginning with "The" as that hampers editing work, e.g. in text body one do not want upper case The, ever, hence nice editors need to do the [[The Some Name|the Some Name]] dance :-( But if that is what the majority wants, yeah. — Zimoon 22:51, 20 February 2022 (UTC)

Decided on Discord and elsewhere that current name rules stand, the "The" should be reflected on Lotro-Wiki. I will fix that tomorrow (my time zone) before even more new stuff has been added, though this is by no means a suggestion to stop creating The Angle-contents. Somehow we will fix this but maybe expect some short disturbances, even if we will leave redirect behind since this is a the-page. — Zimoon 21:40, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
