Introduction
The Companions (R10) is one of the largest, longest standing international kins with a completely furnished kin house. Low level, high level and endgame runs are planned regularly every week and we are dedicated to making you a better equipped, more experienced warrior but the true goal of our kin is in our namesake, Companionship! Kinship History
Thurisaric Son of Ulfric, Lord of The Companions was born in the Vales of Anduin and named 'Polodren' by Elrond
He would encounter a band of brave yet misled horse raiders operating around the Eastfold of Rohan who attempted to take his life. Resisting the assault, killing one of the riders and their horse, he would proclaim
- Thou might slay me, but know I shall take many of thine people in kind, or I could join thee.
And so it was Thurisaric joined The Companions and he fought faithfully alongside them until the day he encountered a woman running for her life from a mad horseman. Thurisaric mauled the man in a rage only to realize it was the former leader of The Companions. As his kinsmen gathered to the carnage, Thurisaric would again take man form.
- Never again shall we raid the Free Peoples of Middle-Earth, from this day forth, we take the fight to Dol Guldur!
Thurisaric led The Companions to Rhovanion, executing beasts swarming from Mirkwood as they went. Eventually they carved out a chunk of the forest, reclaiming it from the spiders and their band of raiders grew to a kingdom. Although they still retain their ferocity and bravado at the feasting table, they have found honour and duty as well, earning redemption for their berserker past by winning great victories for the Free Peoples of Middle-Earth.
In war, levy infantry is conscripted from Thurisaric's kingdom, mostly consisting of Northmen from Dale and Beornings from the Vales of Anduin, evidently supported by The Companions, the frenzied Rohirric cavalry personally led by Thurisaric.
