Oropher

King Oropher was the first King of the Woodland Realm, and father of Thranduil.

He was born in Doriath, and survived the fall of Beleriand at the end of the First Age. He lived in Lindon for a while before moving east to Eryn Lasgalen where he founded the Woodland Realm and ruled throughout the Second Age.

He was killed in battle against Sauron at the end of the Second Age, and his crown of leaves passed to his son Thranduil.
