-ABOUT US-
The Exploration Society is a medium sized, Rank 10 kinship of mature, friendly, helpful players located on the Meneldor server.
We are open to all classes, races, crafters, and levels. Whether you are an old hand at MMOs or a brand spankin new first timer we'll welcome you into our kinship and help you along your path.
We range from the very casual once or twice a week gamer to those who spend a tad too much time in game.
As a casual guild, we don't tell our members what classes to play or what crafting professions to develop.
Every members real life comes first and we respect that so we never make demands on how long or how often you must play.
We do not have a character level limit. You can apply for membership as soon as your character is out of the starting area.
Generally, our kin has a mixed play-style. Some of us take months to level our characters, exploring all content and areas of the game, while others are grinding quest machines that level up in a matter of weeks.
None of our current members actively taking part in role playing, but we would respect any new members that would like to participate in that aspect of the game.
This is mostly a PvE oriented Kinship. However, some of our members enjoy playing a bit of PvP from time to time. To that end we have our own motley but lovable creep tribe called, 'The Evisceration Squad'.
Our kinhouse is located at 9 Chestfield Street, Etfield. Feel free to come over and hangout!
Our members enjoy raiding very much but we still maintain our laidback attitude into our raids. By that I mean we don't yell at our people or belittle them in any way. We do however learn from our mistakes and move on. Raiding should be a positive, fun adventure as well as creating a great looting and killing experience.
For those 'lonewolf' solo players out there, here's some food for thought. By becoming a TES member, you could engage in some warm, cozy, friendly chats while yer out in the cold, dark, lonely forests and you'll find we come in handy for some of those pesky, hard to reach fellowship quests that come along too.

-LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE-
The Exploration Society is governed by our Leader and their core group of officers.
The Leader and officers deliberate on event planning, any kinship issues that might arise, enforce the CoC as a whole, and establish policies.
The kinship officers help form the ideals of any new policies, oversee the membership, enforce the CoC, and recruitment.
Our leadership structure is designed to ensure that someone will always be available to listen to you so that everyone gets a voice in the kinship.
Our goal is to create an environment that is friendly and fun for all members.

-OUR HISTORY-
Our guild, The Exploration Society or TES, was created in March, 2006 by Blu during the beta phase of Dungeons & Dragons Online.
At that time, TES-DDO quickly grew and currently remains one of the largest guilds in DDO.
In February 2007 during the closed beta phase of Lord of The Rings Online, members of TES-DDO formed a LotRO branch on the Meneldor server.
As of the fall of 2013, TES-LoTRO continues to enjoy a slow but steady membership growth. After all these years we still maintain the feel of a tight group of warm, welcoming gaming friends and we strive to be as active as possible. TES remains one of the most respected kinships on the Meneldor server.
