The Wadewater is an area within Swanfleet in the western and central region.

A vast delta formed from the joining of numerous rivers, the two largest being the Mitheithel and the Glanduin, the Wadewater is home to a large variety of plants and wildlife. Flocks of waterfowl frolic in the shallow pools and rivulets, the origin of the name Swanfleet.

Dotted with elven ruins and home to nests of avanc, the area can be dangerous to an unprepared traveler, but since its waterways are mostly quite shallow, it is possible to traverse rather effectively on horseback.

Most would steer clear of the delta, but the Dunlending settlers instead opted to found their thriving village of Lhan Garan on its eastern shores. Residents of the village see the area as the perfect location for their warriors to prove their worth while also providing a steady source of fish.
