Adding pages to categories

I noticed you've been trying to add some pages to categories. You got the right idea, but use the square brackets, like [[Category:Example]]. Then it should work out nicely. Feel free to join us on Discord for instant help with editing. :) --Ravanel (talk) 22:26, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

The mystery of bracket types: another function unveiled

Hey again, I'm back with another tip! When you see {{:Category:something}}, this is (generally) not a screw up, but it is code to make page content appear on other pages. This trick is called transclusion, and it works for both categories and normal pages. So before you change any of those brackets, make sure you understand what it does (use preview), or you might be removing vital information from a page! :) --Ravanel (talk) 20:39, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
