The Thornholt is a landmark within Ered Mithrin, in Ered Mithrin and Withered Heath. It is a large pine forest that lies south and west of Skarháld and is home to Taurogrim and Ungoledain. It is split in two by the Forest River and a lake. The Men Angrún road runs through the forest, followable by the old dwarf-markers that run alongside it if not the path itself.
