Thornholt is a landmark within Ered Mithrin, in Ered Mithrin and Withered Heath. It is a large pine forest that lies South and west of Skarhald and is home to Taurogrim and Ungoledain. It is split in two by a river and lake.

There are several points of interest within its boundary:

  • Kér Bréin - Dwarf ruins claimed by the Ungoledain west of the lake
  • Skoghús - Beorning camp, east of the lake
  • Óinsbridge - Dwarf ruins and bridge on the southern boundary of the forest.
