Thorin's Gate is an area within Ered Luin in the north-western region.
This area hosts the largest dwarf settlement in the Middle-earth and is in itself a centre of activities and features of all sorts. However, most major services are provided within Thorin's Hall and its interiors, hallways, and tunnels. This page is focusing on the services provided outside of the halls and unbound to any specific landmark.
Thorin's Gate and its landmarks are the Starter Area for new dwarf and elf characters and the introduction quests take place all over this area. Once the introduction is completed a new dwarf character set foot in this area (while a new elf is sent to Celondim) and the curious happenings continues here for a while.
Closely bound to this area are Thorin's Hall and its services, the Thorin's Hall Homesteads to the south-west, and Refuge of Edhelion to the east. Centrally located is Frerin's Court and from there runs the main road southward past Vale of Thrain and beyond. Within Frerin's Court stands a Reflecting Pool and west of the courtyard is a good Crafting Hall and a Stable-master.
