The Ironspan is a landmark within Jä-rannit in Forochel. ^{[17.0N, 59.3W]}

In the easternmost section of Jä-rannit, as well as of Forochel, lies this ancient fortress of dwarf craft, serving as gates athwart the road leading into Forodwaith. For long years Angmar has controlled the location but recently the Angmarim presence has become even stronger and now a large number of the evil men are encamped behind the well-preserved walls as well as in the surrounding area. The Ironspan applies +3 Dread on adventurers who are brave enough to venture into its fortifications.

The innermost gates leading to the lands of Forodwaith are currently locked. Just before those gates the Lossoth, Noora and Valio, are studying a Mysterious Relic.
