The Taurogrim tribe live in Eryn Lasgalen, and Ered Mithrin. They are known for being spectacularly resistant to cold, as they have been see immersed up to their heads in snow or ice, and have a particular taste for dwarf blood. The elves hate them as corrupters, because of their slaughter of animals and allowance of feral wolves and spiders.
