Seasonal Events

Shouldn't here be listed Midsummer Festival rather than Farmers Fair? Maybe not, i guess the name will be kinda confusing. --Drono (talk) 06:52, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

Historical vs Obsolete

I see the table was updated to show the historical events as obsolete instead of historical. For old events should we go with calling them obsolete or historical on the special events page. --Oakheart (talk) 07:48, 17 September 2022 (UTC)

Sorry for being a bit late to the party here; I didn't see this discussion until now. For what it's worth, I'll add my input anyway;
Personally I would favour "historical" – especially when it comes to events – for several reasons. "Obsolete" sounds more like some old(er) iteration of something that has been replaced by a newer version of it; like e.g. Traits, or Skills. But events are like the very definition of "historical", I would say. Imagine calling something like Woodstock, or Live Aid, "obsolete" – that just seems wrong! :D
Also, as a wiki we are a historical record of everything game-related, so using "historical" here as well just fits well into that too, I feel. So it makes sense. :)
Further to that, I would also like to propose changing the 'Frequency' column to 'Timeline' instead, as it would seem to be a better fit/description for both recurring events as well as the historical ones.

I did not go with either option after a quick talk on Discord I have switched Historical Events to being called Discontinued Events. I also think timeline sounds better!
