Are these tool kits now obsolete? Or are there other ones made for just jewelers? SirDaddicus (talk) 06:12, 30 December 2023 (UTC)

- Well, I just bought the recipe, and it still says Tinker's, and claims it will give me tools for jeweler, prospector, and cook. I didn't make a set yet (I don't have any bronze), but I think your statement is incorrect. SirDaddicus (talk) 21:13, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- I just fired up my senior metalsmith (T15 GM) which still has all the (single use) recipes up till Westemnet Tinker tools... I can still create the tool. I even created myself a Tinkel tool. Although I'm a Metalsmith, I was able to slot and use the Tinkel tool (as the tooltip states prospectors can use the tool (and by default a metalsmith is a prospector). - Tiberivs (talk) 20:23, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

- Ahh. OK, so it's only the apprentice level ones that are still separated (and still a group under the old names). Expert level (and I presume, higher) tools are universal.

- I figured out a little bit more. It still operates as tinker's tools, but it's all three tools in one item. So, for my character (who has prospector, jeweller, and metalsmith), I still need to keep the old smithing hammer, but the apprentice toolset works for the other two.

- You mean the info here Crafting Tools?? This is not something new, and has been like this like for ever. The only thing is, since recently you can choose which ever vocation you want, so you'll end up having multiple crafting tools if you want to have for instance; jeweler, metalsmith, and tailor (and dont own a universal kit. - Tiberivs (talk) 00:07, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's it, and it covers it quite nicely. I may add a note there about the apprentice (and later?) tool "kits" working for more than one discipline.
