Talk:Harvest Festival

From Lotro-Wiki.com

This is the new central page for all of the yearly Harvest Festivals. All the previous year by year pages, along with content from the old Harvest Festival page, have been merged into this page as history and can be access using page history. There is no longer a need to create a new Harvest Festival page every year. For future Harvest Festivals simply update this page with all of the changes, in the same way any other page is updated. Footnotes

I noticed the superscript numbers are appearing in transclusions on other pages (e.g. Wistmead), but the footnotes themselves are not shown there. Thurallor (talk) 04:04, 26 October 2019 (UTC)

Whoever did those have just added numbers, without any links to footnotes or other places Noddi (talk) 11:02, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Contents Links

Some links in the Contents list point to anchors in the tables which are collapsed by default. If one of these is clicked when the table is collapsed, nothing happens. Users are likely to assume it is a broken link and move on. For example, a perfectly normal thing to do would be: Open page, click "Bingo Boffin" link in the Contents panel and nothing happens.

Is there any way to force a table to expand when a link pointing to an anchor within it is clicked?

(I'm sure this occurs on many pages which means the wiki is likely to have a solution, but I've searched to no avail.) --Fatefoot (talk) 00:11, 23 October 2023 (UTC)

To do that sort of thing would probably be more complicated than it's worth. An easier solution is to make the ToC stay out of those collapsed tables, and only use the section headings up to the table definitions. Try something like: {{Toc-right|limit=2}}
Hopefully this shows something that might help you in the future. Galbus (talk) 22:30, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for the clear reply, Galbus. I made the change you suggested which I think makes it cleaner and clearer. --Fatefoot (talk) 17:28, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
