It would be great to include 2 images, 1 with a map partially blank and another with the map revealed.

The Fog-of-war feature for world maps is obsolete. It was removed from the game about 2 years ago. The feature remains for dungeons, in the sense that you "forget" the dungeon after some time has passed. RingTailCat (talk) 18:34, 27 August 2012 (EDT)
RTC beat me to answering, and more conclusively than I could have. With the world maps fully fleshed out regardless of whether you've been to the area or not, is this definition still worth keeping? I always wondered what factors went into a dungeon map blanking out; was sort of disconcerting to see it sometimes filled on returning and sometimes not. Sethladan 18:39, 27 August 2012 (EDT)
