The set bonus Improved Sneak in the Quiet Knife trait tree guarantees a critical hit with this skill when used from stealth.

Interactions

• The Tracery  Surprise Strike Critical Chance & Backstab Bonus increases this skills Critical Change up to 5.5%, and adds a Positional Bonus up to 55%.
• The Tracery  Surprise Strike Damage increases the damage this skills does up to 55%.
• Wearing 4 pieces of one of the Shadow-stalker Armour sets increases the positional and from-stealth damage of this skill:
  • Shadow-stalker Armour (Item Level 50): +30%
  • Shadow-stalker Armour (Level 60): +30%
  • Shadow-stalker Armour (Level 65): +40%
• Wearing 4 pieces of one of the Armour of the Shadow-walker sets gives a 10% chance to reset the cooldown of the skill after using it:
  • Armour of the Shadow-walker (Level 65)
  • Armour of the Shadow-walker (Level 85)
• Wearing 4 pieces of the Renewed Armour of a Burglar's Recollection increases the positional damage from stealth of this skill by 40%.

Tactical Information

• This skill does major damage when in position or when in stealth (then it is replaced by  Stealthed Surprise Strike) and critical hits with this skill have +100% critical magnitude. This makes the skill ideal to start a fight with, as it enables your Critical Response chain.
• The skills  Feint Attack and  Improved Feint Attack also change this skill to the stealth version if used within 10 resp. 3 seconds.
• In blue line, this skill is replaced by  Gambler's Surprise Strike, which has a chance to apply a random gamble.
