Region: The Shire
Area: The Marish
Location: [32.1S, 63.8W]

Stock is a settlement located within the area of the Marish, in the Shire. [32.1S, 63.8W]

Being the last hobbit village before the Brandywine Bridge, or being the first resting place when arriving to the Shire, Stock is a busy conjunction. The old Great East Road bends itself around the famous Golden Perch Inn, which also is where the Stock Road ends, or start, whichever is your destination.

Lore

Stock is founded no earlier than III 1601 (year 1 by the Shire-reckoning) and survived into the Fourth Age. It is particularly associated with the Puddifoot family. The name probably means "outlying village". — lorebook
