- This deed contributes to the Slayer of Mirkwood meta-deed.
- A good place to hunt spiders is in Gorogrod [8.8S, 51.2W] in northern Scuttledells. The tunnel has two entrances, one at [9.1S, 51.8W], and the other at [9.3S, 50.5W]. There are about 37 spiders here.
- Another possible place is the Dreadweaver's Lair [14.9S, 57.7W].
- While spiders in Webs of the Scuttledells do count, running the instance to complete this deed is a relatively inefficient strategy.
