For LOTRO events which occur at a particular time of day (e.g. daily quest reset times, server downtimes, etc.), times are specified using the Eastern Time Zone in the USA:

  • Eastern Time is UTC−05:00 (EST) when "standard time" is observed (in winter);
  • Eastern Time is UTC−04:00 (EDT) when "daylight saving time" is observed (in summer).

Since daylight saving time begins and ends on different dates (or not at all) in various places around the world, the time offset between you and the servers may change up to four times per year.

Lotro-Wiki will automatically convert server times into your local timezone, assuming you have configured your local timezone in your preferences.

In the game, you can detect the current server time by entering the /servertime command in the chat window.
