Road on The Burning Mountain is a crafting instance in the Plateau of Gorgoroth. It is a level 115 instanced version of Amon Thaur and the road leading thither.

The instance takes place in Orodruin. ^{[51.7S, 23.4E]} However, access is granted by Candúr at the Udûn Foothold. ^{[41.3S, 0.6W]}

The Burning Mountain: Blood Wings is required to be in progress to enter. For this quest to be available, Allegiance: Daily Expedition Quests must be unlocked by completing Tales of Gorgoroth.

There is a Shadow of Mordor rating of 100 throughout the instance. This instance can be completed solo or with two players. It is especially useful for Tier 11 (Doomfold) Prospectors, for many Gorgoroth Skarn Deposits can be found within.

Barricades initially block passage, but these will burn up once the enemies guarding them are defeated. The Blood-blade stands atop Amon Thaur. ^{[54.6S, 22.9E]}
