Quest Talk:Scouts Among the Bruinen Gorges

The page for ‘Scouts Among the Bruinen Gorges’ should be changed: Prerequisite: completion of Provisioning the Elves and A Gift from the Dwarves Quests.

The quest 'Scouts Among the Bruinen Gorges' is a prerequisite for using Rivendell reputation items. I learned this the hard way and finally figured out the Wiki page was incomplete. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pozest (Contribs • User Talk) at 2021-02-05.

Today the prerequisite for Scouts Among the Bruinen Gorges reads "Completion of the A Gift from the Dwarves quest-chain" which in turn requires Scouting the Wild. That requirement seems OK and I cannot see that a requirement on Provisioning the Elves is needed.

Regarding being a prerequisite for using Rivendell reputation items I pass. It sounds strange though, that this quest should be a prerequisite for using reputation items, but I can neither cancel nor confirm that statement. — Zimoon 10:08, 19 June 2022 (UTC)

Scouts Among the Bruinen Gorges is required to use   Elvish Relic as of ~18 months ago. Just checked in game though and Provisioning the Elves is not a requirement for Scouts Among the Bruinen Gorges. Thalion (talk) 16:03, 20 June 2022 (UTC)

Thanks Thalion! I see now that  Elvish Relic was updated with that info in diff 1029282 last year. So already in-game the item itself mentions that requirement, which is the most logical place. Either way, I have added it to the quest as well. — Zimoon 17:28, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
