Quest Talk:Guarding the Vale

Prerequisite

Can someone with a "clean" char check if there is really no prerequisite for that quest? And if there isn't, the direct follow-up quests/chain are also not very clear to me. --EoD (talk) 04:05, 8 April 2012 (EDT)

I visited the vale while looking for Magla while doing The Sniffling Snuffler in the epic quest line (before doing any non-epic quests in Eorlsmead). Landroval was there, but he did not have a quest ring. This leads me to believe that there is another, unknown, prerequisite quest which must be started OR completed before he will offer you quests. Clearly, he must be active while you are doing Visitor from the North, but (un-cited) comments in the forums suggest that he will grant quests earlier than that. This has led to a possible phasing bug that prevents completion of Quest:A Prisoner to Stangard.
