NPC Comments

These epic quests are giving lots of extra comments to many NPCs. Across the wiki these have been handled in different ways - sometimes going in the Notes section, other times being embedded in the quest text - such as Quest:Chapter 11: Grief and Insight, in which Nár's extra dialogue options are central to the plot of that story line. In this quest, I think it would make more sense to have Éothain's comments in the quest text, because he says that he is going to answer your questions and it looks a bit odd to not have any of the answers there, unless you think to expand the Notes section. -- Elinnea (talk) 10:02, 23 November 2012 (EST)

Have a look at what I have done here, placing the questions and answers inside a collapsed box. I never really liked the way I did Quest:Chapter 11: Grief and Insight. Compare it with how I have done many similar dialogues with, for instance, Aldbéort. What do you think? RingTailCat (talk) 10:28, 23 November 2012 (EST)
I do like that better, keeping it in line with the rest of the dialogue without having to make the page super-long. It seems like a good compromise.
The dialogues at the NPC pages make the most sense if they're always available, regardless of what quests are active or completed. That would make them features of the character, not the quests. I also added some dialogues to Scouting Dwarf because you can only access him during that particular instance, as far as I know. I like the bullets and bold much better as far as formatting goes, though. -- Elinnea (talk) 15:09, 23 November 2012 (EST)
