Quartermaster Ash is in the backyard of Glân Vraig [21.0S, 13.3W] You can open one Chest of Glân Vraig with this key. Watch out - if you are in a fellowship while opening the chest, other people might be able to roll on its contents. Make sure you have plenty of slots empty in your inventory before using the key! The chest will disappear after taking its contents. It will respawn after some time. It is however more rewarding to do the quest Notice of the Second Marshal (also offered by the Quartermaster) instead, for which you only need to collect 10 Tokens of Valour. You can repeat this quest, by which can open more chests in total. The same items have a chance to drop, regardless of which chest you choose.

It barters for roughly one-hundred and ten beryls. It's got a sturdy oaken shaft and hardened Elf-steel blade. With me on the job, it's ready to fight at any moment. 'Now I know you are wondering how you can come by such a masterful piece of work. Well, I'll tell you: Valour. You prove your valour to the Free Peoples, and I'll see that you're fairly rewarded. No, you can't touch my blade. Your primitive mind wouldn't understand the relation of woods and alloys...things like magic. 'You want one of these types of weapons, you will need to earn it. Return to me when you've acquired enough tokens of valour, and we'll talk.' Background Having assisted the Free Peoples in their battle against the war host of Angmar, you have earned much respect. The respect you earn entitles you to receive rewards from Quartermaster Ash at Glân Vraig.
