Bestowal dialogue

'What is left to be learned at this time cannot be learned from me. I remember when you were but a novice, eagerly seeking to enhance your skill in valiant defence, but now I think you have reached a point from which I cannot further your guidance.

'There is a stout Guardian who went into Moria to help his brethren defend against the evils in the dark. He turns arrows with his thick armour and draws foes with his brave taunts, fearing no man or beast, however fell. I would never go into Moria myself, for I believe it is folly, but noble Dithrik would not be held back.

'Rumour has it that he traveled into the Foundations of Stone, and there you should find him, unless some cruel fate has befallen him. He will surely have more to teach you than I.'

Background

You have been instructed to find Dithrik in the Foundations of Stone in Moria in order to further your prowess as a Guardian.

Objective 1

Dithrik can be found in the Foundations of Stone in Moria.

You should seek Dithrik if you wish to further your skills as a Guardian, for the trainers of Eriador have little less to show you in this stage of your learning.

Guardian Trainer: 'Dithrik is in the Foundations of Stone in Moria. Look for him there.'
Dithrik: 'Well met, <name>. I am at your service, and your family's. I have heard much praise of your deeds in Moria, and I will gladly share anything I have to teach with such a noble Guardian as yourself. The time is nigh for the dwarves to reclaim their ancient home of Moria, and your aid has been invaluable.
'I see that you are here because your strength as a Guardian has outgrown your skills somewhat. I believe I can teach you a skill that will serve you well into the future.
'Let us speak further of how you can contribute to our cause here in Moria, for there is much to do.'
