Haerondir Gladhir [105] Bane of the Serpent There are two entrances to Dûm Boha: one at the second level of Haerondir [36.9S, 7.9W] and one off the plain behind Hareondir [36.1S, 6.5W] (the "main entrance"). If you first obtain the Bane of the Serpent from Gladhir in Haerondir and then proceed into Dûm Boha via the path behind him, you will receive the landscape quests below as you enter the camp. If you enter Dûm Boha from the "main entrance" off the plain behind Hareondir, you will get all quests bestowed as you enter. Walkthrough & Notes

From the Slag-hill (the western Slag-Hill) immediately south-east of the Ranger outpost: Tower of Carchost: [34.9S, 3.3W] Carchost overlooks much of the eastern Slag-hills From the Slag-hill immediately to the east (the eastern Slag-Hill: Tower of Narchost: [35.1S, 4.2W] Narchost overlooks much of the western Slag-hills The base of Narchost from about [36.1S, 4.4W] (The door and two Mordor Crusher Trolls are visible.) The entrance does not seem to be heavily guarded Crossing the wooden bridge to the left of the base of Narchost to about [36.2S, 3.8W] Travelling any closer to Morannon would surely lead to a swift death (Moving closer to the Black Gate triggers the effect:  Enemy Defenders Continuing on across in front of the Morannon and crossing the wooden bridge The entrance to Carchost is within Fushaum Gund, on an upper level.

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'While you are out among the Slag-hills, would you be kind enough to survey the Enemy strongholds of Carchost, Narchost, and the Morannon? 'It is imperative that we have the latest movements of the Enemy.' Background Thurindol requires more information on the structures within the Slag-hills, and wishes for you to survey the territory. Objective 1 Survey the Black Gate Survey the base of Narchost Survey the tower of Narchost Survey the base of Carchost Survey the tower of Carchost Good vantage points can be found around the Slag-hills. You should survey the Black Gate and the Towers of the Teeth. Objective 2 Return to Thurindol You should return to Thurindol, who can be found at the small Ranger outpost hidden in the Slag-hills. Thurindol You relate to Thurindol what you saw. 'The Morannon has not changed? That is as I expected. The movements you describe around Narchost are interesting. I do not know what to make of it. And Carchost is heavily guarded, you say? That must mean there is something of great importance within the tower now.'
