Walkthrough & Notes

Enemies will spawn across the bridge and will rush over to attack the supplies, the soldiers, and Gamling. For the most part, enemies will be concentrated in the center area, and the barricades will aid greatly in containing them. Make use of the ballista to inflict heavy damage on incoming enemies. Focus on enemies attacking the supplies and running towards Gamling as they can cause faster merit loss or you to lose track of them respectively. Notes Gamling does not fire the ballista automatically. You must use the Signal Flags to order him to fire. Each flag represents a different distance and there will be a short delay from the time of use to the time of impact. Ordering your Soldiers into Two-handed Stance can make the objective significantly easier to handle. Similarly, placing a Barricade of your own can help make it easier to land ballista shots.

Quest Text

Background Gamling has fallen back to the main ballista near the center of the Glittering Caves. He can fire the ballista into the opposite wall to cause stalactites to fall upon the center bridge. Use the signaling flags near the bridges to indicate to Gamling top drop stalactites on the near, middle, or far end of the bridge. Objective Defeat waves of enemies The ballista must not be destroyed The Signaling Flags must not be destroyed Protect the barricades at the end of the island bridge and stop the enemy from damaging Gamling's ballista. Merit Rating This quest starts with Full Merit Rating.
