Walkthrough & Notes

This quest is available to players who have purchased the Riders of Rohan legendary expansion. You play as a level 75 War-steed which has special skills, see below. NOTE: You have 3 minutes to complete this session and the timer begins when the session starts, even before talking to the Stallion. To successfully end the race (and the session), you must talk to the Stallion of the Horsefarm and click "Finish Now" before the timer runs out. [21.5S, 51.1W] Remember to use the Galloping Flight skill, it can be used twice during the race if used early on. Avoid the mud holes because they apply Muddy-footed, a -25% or -30% Run Speed debuff for 10 or 20 seconds respectively. The track has 9 gates arranged clock-wise, starting and ending with the Stallion. As you pass through each gate, watch the quest objective arrow to locate the direction to the next gate. If defeated or the time expires you will be returned to the Hengstacer Farm. Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue Background Any herd of horses will establish a pecking order, and the strongest amongst them leads the others. It is time to meet the master stallion of the Horsefields to prove yourself to him. If defeated or time expires, you will return to Hengstacer Farm. Objective 1 Talk to the master stallion in the Horse-fields The master stallion is perched upon a hill overlooking the horse-farm. He has a good vantage point from which to keep an eye on his herd. Stallion of the Horsefarm: 'These are my fields, and if you wish to stay here for a while, you must pass my test. Any horse that can pull his weight can make it around the eastern track in less than five minutes. I need to make sure every horse in my heard can pull their weight. There will be no weak links in my chain.' Objective 2 Reach the first gate The first gate is just to the east of the master, down the hill. Objective 3 Reach the second gate The second gate is located east and a little south of the first gate. Objective 4 Reach the third gate The third gate is located south-east of the second gate. Objective 5 Reach the fourth gate The fourth gate is located south of the third gate. Objective 6 Reach the fifth gate The firth gate is located south-west of the fourth gate. Objective 7 Reach the sixth gate The sixth gate is located north-west of the fifth gate. Objective 8 Reach the seventh gate The seventh gate is located north of the sixth gate. Objective 9 Reach the eighth gate The eighth gate is located north of the seventh gate. Objective 10 Reach the ninth gate The ninth gate is located north-east of the eighth gate. Objective 11 Return to the master The master is found overlooking the fields on his hill, just north of the eighth gate. Stallion of the Horsefarm: 'So, you are not a weak link after all.
