Walkthrough & Notes

This quest can be completed at the One/Two size once daily for credit (can be repeated daily for no credit.) This quest happens on the wall level inside the Eastern tower. Placing trip traps in the doorway helps a lot. You will need to run back and forth gathering supplies for the Labourers. If you have a spare moment, you can winch the portcullis mechanisms yourself as well - there is one each side, on the inside of the doorway.

Quest Text

Background The portcullis for one of the passages through the upper gatehouse has been damaged and refuses to lower. Rohirrim workers will work to repair the control mechanism and attempt to close the portcullis, but will be vulnerable to enemy assault while they concentrate on their repairs. They will need to receive the proper tools and supplies if they are to fix the portcullis securely. Objective Defend Labourers as they repair and crank the portcullis (0/30) Do not allow the gate mechanisms to be destroyed (0/2) The broken portcullis mechanism must be repaired so that the passageway can be sealed off and the intruders denied passage. The men working to repair the portcullis will require protection from serious harm, if they are to succeed in their task. Merit Rating This quest starts with Partial Merit Rating.
