Bestowal dialogue

'While you were away, I told that young Amarion that it wouldn't be long before we were out of his way, since the Wargs are sure to be driven soon from Annúndir. He didn't even manage a smile. Such a gloomy fellow!

'Well, When I told him you were taking care of the bear-hides for me, he seemed surprised. "The bears of Fornost have come into Annúndir? The deathly ones have come east?" I told him I didn't think so.

'But he couldn't take back his words, [name], and if the bears on the Fields of Fornost are coming east, I don't want them coming to my farm! If you travel north-west, you are sure to find the bears of which he spoke.'

Background

Agnes Martlet learned from Amarion that there is something wrong with the bears on the Fields of Fornost, and she is worried that some of them may find their way to her farm.

Objective 1

  • Slay Bears in the Fields of Fornost (0/16)

There are bears on the Fields of Fornost, north-west of Amon Raith.

Agnes Martlet has asked you to deal with the corrupted bears on the Fields of Fornost before they make their way to her farm.

Agnes Martlet: 'Take care when journeying into the Fields of Fornost, north-west of here. I don't think that Amarion wants you going up there -- something about the place frightens him. But if the deathly bears he mentioned come into Annúndir, they are sure to be even more interested in my livestock than the ordinary bears are!'
Amarion: 'Agnes Martlet may be old, but she is wily and misses nothing. I should have been more careful with my words, and not mentioned the bears on the Fields of Fornost.
'Yes, you will find them to the north-west, but I would ask you not to go. The Fields are dangerous and the creatures there unnatural. Great battles were fought there, long ago, and the ground remembers the bloodshed. You will find no peace in that place.'

Objective 2

  • Talk to Agnes Martlet

Agnes Martlet is at Amon Raith, south-east of the Fields of Fornost.

Agnes will be pleased to hear that you have defeated many of the corrupted bears on the Fields of Fornost.

Amarion: 'You have returned from the Fields of Fornost? That is well. It is a place of danger and evil, and one should not tread there lightly.'
Agnes: 'You have returned from the Fields of Fornost, victorious against its deathly bears? Tell me the tale of your struggle against them and take these coins for your trouble.'
