Bestowal dialogue

'I must tell you my story, no matter how painful it may be. Of late, I have had terrible dreams of my dead wife. These are dreams I know by my lore not to be the nightmares of a fevered mind, but something far more sinister.

'I know well my wife's spirit could not linger in Middle-earth, but there are far worse things than shades in these fields. There are fell spirits, creatures out of deepest darkness, summoned in the days of Morgoth. One such spirit has despoiled my wife's grave. I call her Olnathron, for she disturbs my dreams.

'I do not trust myself in the presence of even a semblance of my wife, so I must ask you to fight this creature for me. From my dreams, I believe you will find her somewhere to the west of my wife's grave, a place where many of these dark creatures wander.'

Background

Mincham has described troubled dreams he has had of late. He believes a fell spirit, an evil creature from the darkness, is impersonating his dead wife.

Objective 1

Olnathron can be found to the west of the graves of his wife and child.

Fearing for the strength of his will, Mincham has asked you to find and confront the fell spirit who has taken his wife's semblance.

Mincham: 'Please find and confront the fell spirit, Olnathron.'
Olnathron: 'That fool Mincham is too cowardly to bid his dear wife a final, sweet farewell? How weak he must be to send thee to thy death in his stead!
'No matter. I will soon hale his spirit into the darkness, just as surely as I will see thy blood spill this day!'
Olnathron says, "Die, now, and join the shadows, fool!"
You have defeated Olnathron

Objective 2

Mincham awaits you at his camp.

Mincham will be relieved to learn that the fell spirit Olnathron has been sent back to the abyss.

Mincham: 'Ah, my friend. I know you have been victorious. A shadow that has darkened my thoughts has vanished.
'I must thank you, not just in the name of one poor, tormented Ranger, but in the name of my dear wife as well. No more will her name and form be sullied by the vileness of that fell spirit. I will ever and always be in your debt!'
