Bestowal dialogue

'Well, <name>, good day to you! It is often said that there is nothing better than fine summer weather, though it is a little balmy for my taste this time of year. I am sweltering where I stand!

'These lazy summer days can drag on, which is why we look forward to the Festival events! This year, inhabitants of Thorin's Hall are racing to finish the Keg-hopping Race event as quickly as possible. Who do you think will win?

'If you want to know a little secret, Ottó is undoubtedly the strongest candidate. I do not think I've ever seen him without a mug in his hand! He is as stout a dwarf as ever there was -- would you like to wager on Ottó's success for this round?'

Background

You have a vested interest in Ottó's success as he runs the Summer Festival Keg-hopping Race.

Objective 1

The Keg-hopping Race begins on the steps leading to Thorin's Hall and travels to various kegs around Frerin's Court.

You will need to hand over a Dwarf Race Token in order to select a Ottó as your favourite to win.

Arnar: 'You think Ottó's your dwarf? Well then, hand me one of your Race Tokens, and I'll jot down your wager on him.
'Good luck, <name>!'

Objective 2

  • Observe the race to see if Ottó is victorious

The Keg-hopping Race begins on the steps leading to Thorin's Hall and travels to various kegs around Frerin's Court.

You have wagered that Ottó will win the race, and you should observe whether or not this comes to pass.

Objective 3

  • Talk to Jorfi inside Thorin's Hall

Jorfi can be found in the inn in Thorin's Hall, just to the north of the keg-race area.

You should speak with Jorfi and collect the bountiful prize he has to offer for your excellent luck.

Jorfi: 'I see you had some luck at the keg-races! Allow me to be the first to bid you congratulations on your excellent luck, <name>. Here is your reward.'
