Walkthrough & Notes
|
- This Session Play can be extremely difficult if you are uncomfortable with Mounted Combat. Your mounted combat skill set may be quite different from these skills listed below.
- One tactic is to simply mount up; stand in front of Edsig and Gárferth and spam your skills. (The AOE is huge!)
- You can "ride around" and force the Orcs to chase you. If you choose this tactic, keep moving, the steed takes a very long time to speed up.
- There are more than 50 orcs, followed by a couple of Trolls. Edsig and Gárferth tend to die if you don't focus the mobs on you instead of them!
- You have a lot of health and so does your steed. If you get knocked off your steed, it reactivates automatically. There seems to be an automatic heal as well. So keep the mobs on you and away from the NPCs.
- Note: unlike with your personal war-steed, you must explicitly activate Red Dawn.
- Note: you must have fervor to use the heal (Recuperate).
- You have a the following skills while mounted on your Medium War-steed, in Quickslots 1-7, ordered by increasing Cool-down, left to right:
- QS 1 -- Mounted strike -- max 8 targets; +1 Fervour; 4,910 Common Damage
- QS 2 -- Swift Cut -- max 8 targets; +1 Fervour; 6,138 Common Damage
- QS 3 -- Sundering Blow -- max 8 targets; +1 Fervour; 7,366 Common Damage
- QS 4 -- Destabilizing Strike -- max 8 targets; Removes all Fervour; 8,839 Common Damage
- QS 5 -- Horn Blast -- max 8 targets; Removes all Fervour; 16,369 - 21,825 Light Damage
- QS 6 -- Recuperate -- Removes all Fervour; duration 4 seconds -- increases damage dealt by 10%
- QS 7 -- Discipline: Red Dawn
These are all Champion mounted combat skills. See Champion Mounted Combat Skills for more details.

Remembering Thrymm
"Thrymm Red-beard, the champion of Forlaw, proudly carries the hope of the people of Wildermore. He was one of the few to heed the call to defend an incoming attack on an early morning in Forlaw..."
Background
Cyneberg tells you of the first attack on Forlaw by the White Hand. Not long ago, while Cyneberg was in Scylfig and before Thrymm left to join her, Thrymm and the twin sons of Gárwig courageously defended Forlaw from a large Orc attack.
Objective 1
- Edsig and Gárferth must stay alive
Edsig and Gárferth are prepared to defend the city of Forlaw, or die trying. They are encouraged by Thrymm's arrival, knowing that he could probably single-handedly defeat the attacking Orcs.
- Edsig: 'Thrymm! We are glad you could make it. We sent word though town for those who could aid in our defence, but it early and not many heard it.
- 'A scout came to Lornsettle, frantic to report to Gárwig and the rest of us of a good sized formation of Orcs that were marching down the road toward Forlaw. He should be here any moment now!
- 'Gárferth and I will stay here to guard the gate. We will make sure none pass.'
Objective 2
- Defeat the Orcs assaulting Forlaw (0/54)
- Edsig and Gárferth must stay alive
Objective 3
- Edsig and Gárferth must stay alive
- Edsig: 'That appears to be all of them! Well done, Thrymm and Gárferth. You both fought well.
- 'Thrymm, this many Orcs marching down the roads is alarming. I can see it on your faces. You look worried.
- 'I share your concern for Cyneberg in Scylfig, and whether Scylfig is prepared. You should send word as soon as you can. Gárferth and I will see to the defence of Forlaw while you are away.
- 'We will go to our father right away to let him know what happened here.'
